		<description>Finally someone who tells it like it is!  I hope that people take heed to this advice because Steve is honest. If HE says it I believe it.  Some companies instead of nurturing their people have made their quotas higher and are treating them as if though they are cattle.  You want to retain your best sales people during this time.   WOW keep it up Steve so when we come out of this mess people will know what they need to keep doing.</description>

When things were easy, sales people had tons of opporunities and did not have to think about completing the sale. They were jsut trying to make the sale. Now that things are tough, those who complete the sale will still have their work cut out for them, but they have a strong foundation to build on.</description>

I totally agree with you.  All of the sales GURU&#039;s like yourself are still telling people it doesnt matter what the economy is like you should be doing more and its your attitude.  Steve you are the only one who faces reality.  I dont care if you are Zig Ziglar its not as easy to sell in this climate as it once was.  I also fault some of the sales managers who are trying to make their employees feel like they are not working hard enough and when they do close a deal try to tamper with their commissions.  Great article!</description>
